Rudakubana was apprehended on-site and later charged with three counts of murder, ten counts of attempted murder, and possession of a bladed article. Subsequent investigations revealed that he had also been charged with offenses under the Biological Weapons Act 1974 and Terrorism Act 2000, related to the possession of ricin and an Al-Qaeda training manual.
